BMI View: We have slightly revised down our 2013 forecasts for non-hydropower renewable energy in India because a number of solar projects are significantly behind schedule. However, two major developments in the sector, namely the reintroduction of incentives for wind and greater government involvement in solar energy, have led us to revise up our long-term forecasts. We have slightly revised up our long-term forecasts for the Indian non-hydropower renewables sector. We now forecasting generation to grow at an average rate of 10.5% a year between 2013 and 2022. This upward revision was prompted by two major developments in August.
