BMI View: We are maintaining our short- and long-term forecasts for non-hydropower renewable energy generation in Austria this quarter as our assumptions remain relevant. However, we highlight that our forecasts are set to face greater political risks following the country’s legislative elections held in September. Right-wing parties fared extremely well in the elections, and funding and subsidies for renewable energy could be reduced given their pro-austerity stance.
